On the 30th April we had our CQC inspection for our regulated service, Support at Home Plus.
We were given 48 hours notice for the inspection to take place. The inspection lasted a whole day at our Safeharbour well-being Centre.
During the inspection the CQC inspector looked at three service users files, four staff files and spoke to three care staff.
Along-side this they contacted some of the people we support and their family members to get feedback on the service we provide.
During the day the inspector spoke to Registered Manager Bal Rathore, Katie Antill the Senior Service Delivery Manger and Malou Bengtsson-Wheeler, CEO of the organisation.
We received our report last week which rated the service Good in all areas and very positive feedback on our service and the support we provide to people.
Comments from the people we support included the staff “understand me and know my needs”
A relative commented “This is why we chose this specific team, as they understand mum’s condition. Their approach to mum’s Alzheimer’s is excellent”.
Staff informed the inspector they were fully supported by the manager and the team. They were provided with sufficient on-going training to provide a good service.
This is a big achievement for the whole organisation and the Support At Home team.
