On Wednesday 8th April we were devastated to find that overnight our minibus had been stolen from Safeharbour on Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, Kent. This minibus is usually used to provide vital transport to enable people living with dementia to attend The Beacon Day Support. However, with this service suspended we had been using the bus to help local hospitals discharge medically fit patients into our care at home service.

We have reported it to the police and urge anyone with any information or CCTV in the area to please get in contact with us.

Can you help us raise vital funds to replace this bus?

I am sure you will recognise we are already facing a significant financial impact due to the coronavirus pandemic and this will only add to the pressure on our organisation. We are very saddened that someone would do this, especially at a time like this where the minibus had been used to alleviate pressure on the NHS and contribute to the national effort against COVID19.  We urgently need to replace this specially adapted minibus so that vulnerable people living with dementia can access The Beacon day support.

Now may be a time we need you more than ever, we’re hoping we can count on you.
